Back in February,  Chapter 53 officials attended a presentation in Hauppauge.  The stated purpose was for several revenue officers from Upstate New York to explain how they had managed to keep their "seizure team" alive (albeit on "life support.")  Below are reproduced a series of letters which arose from that meeting.
Here, for your edification, is Sec. 6334 (e) (2) (A) of the Internal Revenue Code.
We thought that this was a fairly straightforward request, however, as you may see, below, it took over three months for the IRS to respond with the undated memo below.  We do not blame Donovan for the delay: National Headquarters got involved and you know what that means.
Obviously, the management response, sanitized, pasteurized, and homogenized,
bears no relation to the question that was originally asked.  For that reason the union has produced the following, final, letter, which will be delivered via desk drop
to all revenue officers in the former Brooklyn district.  We would have preferred a more direct answer, but, that was probably asking too much from the IRS in these times.
